Suzuki Cruiser Motorcycles Beginning with its nomenclature, the Boulevard is Suzuki’s cruiser line that was rebadged in June 2004. The “M” in its name denotes its muscle-bike status, and the “109″ indicates its engine size in cubic inches. A five-speed transmission routes power through a shaft to drive the wide, 240mm rear tire. The movement of the 18-inch rear tire is damped by a seven-position single shock via an aluminum swingarm. Up front, a non-adjustable 46mm inverted fork carries a meaty 130/70-18 tire. The M109R’s brake system is fully up to date, featuring radial-mount four-piston calipers and 310mm brake rotors up front. Rear-wheel retardation is handled by a dual-piston caliper and 275mm rear disc.
